It's been quite some time sense I've made a post on this. Frankly I find it amazing that Google has kept this live!
I was encouraged by the many people starting to drop Facebook as a viable communication medium. I found myself missing the days of ACTUALLY getting to say what's on my mind without being vague, or having to worry about the "entertainment" value of the post.
I'm tired of entertaining people.
In that vein, I'm tired of reading "entertaining" bytes of knowledge about how my friends are doing. Makes me feel that if my life isn't entertaining to read about, that no one will be interested. So instead I've found myself posting videos and music that I've found entertaining in hopes to maybe find some camaraderie among those who enjoy the same things I do.
That's not friendship though, that's just giving those who want to advertise a wonderfully free word of mouth campaign. Though this is a great thing, we can't hope to understand how our friends are doing merely on what they find entertaining.
So when I want to post something, I'll be doing it here from now on!

On a side note, for those who I talked with about the whole "writers club" web app, this is still in progress. It's hard to find time, but I've already got a log-in system in place, and the database is in place to store the stories, now I just have to create the front end. ETA for a rough draft... about a month from today. With some encouragement, I may speed up this process :-)
